Web Design: the Art of Attracting Attention

The ever spreading net of the Web has at least more effect on one area – that of web designing. Gone are the days when designing for the Web was an in-house issue. Now you need a web design company for many reasons; the changes in markup languages and design elements, W3C compliant browsers, and the way people use the Web being some of the main grounds. Web development company like Plaveb can help you in this area.

Two goals greatly control the designing aspect of a great and good web site. Those are, attracting the attention of end users and the quality and intensity of the labor involved. A web site is like a book whose pages are comparable to web pages. Just like an engrossing book, an elegant web site should have the power to attract and engage the visitors. Designing a web site is a laborious and intense affair. Simply put, it involves creating a set of web pages which makes a web site. A web designer has to fight the battle on many fields in shaping the product – a web site so great in look and feel that visitors are enticed to come back – the designer’s love of labor.

The expanding Internet and the Web has deep influence on all the related areas, more so on web designing. The earlier web sites were very basic in form and content; a person with basic HTML (markup language) skills could create simple web pages with headings and paragraphs and the facility to link using hypertext. As the Web progressed, there arose a need to add more elements such as tables and images. Improved markup languages fulfilled those needs with XHTML and XML. Further progress in shape of improved, W3C compliant browsers and the advent of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) made it possible to manage and manipulate web page elements. Demand for dynamic pages further allowed the ability to change content with client-side/server-side scripting languages (JavaScript, PHP, ASP etc).

With so many changes happening at fast pace, web designing does not remain the realm the lone designer. With outsourcing gaining the ground, many companies have been established to serve the growing demand for such work. Plaveb is looking forward to help create well-designed web sites at comparable costs, using the best practices as enumerated above.
