In the quest to design unique and appealing website, some of the web designers have explored the use of Grunge style of web designing. Nowadays, for the web designers, it is not a theorem but a postulate that the website that looks appealing and unique is usually a successful website. The experts are also of the view that the web design with a unique web design is more remembered by the visitors. On the other hand it has been observed that the web designs are being copied partly if not fully. It is because of this that that web design that was once unique becomes common in the later years to come. When the uniqueness of the web design is lost it becomes common and the traffic is also not as much as it used to receive when it was unique.
 
What is Grunge Style of Web Design?

Unlike the other style of web design the Grunge web style features old and dirty look. It has different kinds of visual elements which are nasty, irregular, crooked and at times ugly too. At first this sounds very absurd because most other web designs are based on fresh and the latest new look. There would be many web designers that would first discard the use of old and dirty images or visual in the website designing. A bit of probing and thinking in depth can enlighten the designer’s mind with the thought that the old and dirty images can be used constructively.

•The Grunge style is used in some of the website to highlight the contrast and draw the visitor’s attention and focus it on some specific elements of the website.
 
•Some web design elements are intentionally designed in Grunge style so that the visitor’s attention is focused on other elements.
 
•When the images are in Grunge style the content is automatically highlighted and dominates the other web design elements exhibited on the screen.
 
•If the website is about old or archaic objects or events then the Grunge style of web designing can be not only unique but also appealing. This sort of web design style can evoke strong emotional attachment to the time of the past.

•Sometimes the fonts are designed the grunge style only because they appear as if written years back.
•At times the icons are intentionally made to look torn and dirty. The icons in grunge style evoke a special emotional kind of relationship with the visitor.
         
•Designing of the textures with the Grunge style can give a complete different kind of feeling to the visitors.
