For a sneak preview of our new site design, incorporating a complete content management system, see http://www.athyrius.com/joomla. You will find our new gallery as well as several major multimedia/content management projects completed or in the making.
Athyrius 'Three Birds' has been invited to be part of a
multimedia presentation at The Art Of Digital Show at the elegant Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. Three Birds has been featured on several national PBS specials as well as toured the United
States as part of a cutting-edge fabric printing promotional display. You can upload 'Three Birds' in our Wallpaper section to use as

Photoshop Masterpieces and Illustration With
Attitude.
Athyrius completed a new photoshop masterpiece entitled
"Marionette, Plaything of the Gods". This graphic creation
was entered for the
April 2006 Photos.com Challenge and
was featured on the front page of that Uber Graphics
site. The monthly Photos.com challenge features
some of the most talented and creative artists using
high end stock photography provided by Photos.com to
create visually stunning as well as thought provoking
images. Athyrius continues to press the boundaries
of imagination to support this effort by the fine people
at the Graphics.com community.
Meanwhile Athyrius has continued to post on the Graphic
Design Forum blog and made some
out-of-the-box political and social observations about the
current use of Orange in advertising design color schemes -
and got some fascinating feed-back from some very interesting
people. Feel free to hop over to
"What's With the Orange?" You will
come away with a new view at what advertising does to
your thoughts and emotions on a daily basis.
The Athyrius Design group has also been playing in the
Snow, the results of which we will be releasing soon in the
form of a content management system.
Designing With Attitude
Recently we have been
helping to develop and re-develop some great cartoon
characters for the fabulous folks at With Attitude Inc.; one
of whom was the mascot for the Las Vegas Centennial
Celebrations.
Athyrius will also be designing an online game to compliment their existing line of children's games. Pop over and take a look at their games and ecards and make sure you let the kids in on it. Their site is at www.WithAttitude.net and should keep you busy for the next few hours.
Graphics for Artists
Last, but not least, another major project is a large
introductory Brochure designed to showcase a major artist, M
Castano, in National Museums.
This brochure and a few other new designs, including some of
the "With Attitude" cartoon work, can be seen on the Graphic
Design Gallery page over on
Graphics.com

Top image is the full brochure cover 22.5"x 8.5".
The image below is the inside contents of the brochure.

Athyrius Invited to Blog on Graphic Design Forums
I am hoping everyone has been enjoying the fall holidays
as we head into the busy winter season. I recently made a
post to the
Graphic Design Forum blog that will be
entertaining and informative for new (and old) clients. We
had a nice invitation over the Halloween Howl-iday; a spot
as a guest blogger on
GDF Blog (Graphics Design Forum).
Thanks to Internet.com, Jupitermedia.com, the entire
Graphics.com family- and a big high five to Chris D. Also,
Athyrius and a new design were Featured in Septembers
Photos.com and
Graphics.com
Newsletters. If you are interested in Graphic Arts or
Photography these sites are a worthwhile visit. Join the
Forum for a gab-fest or check out the hundreds of
tutorials.
Mr. Olympia After Party in Las Vegas
The Athyrius Design Graphics family has been very busy
these past few months. In October we coordinated and hosted
the
Mr. Olympia Afterparty in
conjunction with PSP Inc. to cap off the weeks
convention and competition. Special thanks to Vince P.
of
Muscletech and all of the present
and former great Olympiads who showed up for the
greatest muscle party in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile Athyrius Designs has been very busy. From hosting
Fashion shows at the Palms to entering the realm of printed
fabric designs, developing new screenprint designs and
polishing up old ones for Liquid Blu and for our old friends
at Ballzout. We love the Magic International Fashion
Convention here in Las Vegas and always look forward to
meeting new people and seeing old acquaintances. The private
parties are pretty cool too. It only takes about two weeks to
recover from a 3 day event.
In other areas, some Athyrius Designs have been chosen by
Lori Dvir-Djerassi of Color Textiles Inc. as showcase pieces
for her specialized fabric printing business. Athyrius'
graphic 'Three Birds' was showcased at the World Photoshop
Convention this year at the Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas. So we
are pretty excited to be entering a realm of artistic display
that incorporates real world usage. If you wish to contact us
about any of these projects please
email Athyrius
Recently we won our second
Photos.com Challenge and we were
also entered for the
MOCA 2005 'Donnie' Award. We also
began developing a more interactive design for Hmoong
that incorporates blogging capabilities for the boys in
the band.
On the programming side we have become independent
developers of
Movable Type - and we are also deep
in the process of developing some amazing technologies
and methods for site production, multimedia advertising
and content management that are going to be the future
of the internet. As the 'programming' half of this
partnership helped launch the internet into public use
many years ago when he was with NASA, as well as being
one of the original developers of the Flash program, I
feel comfortable making such a large statement.
We will be adding a few goodies for the internet community
over the coming days and weeks, including free pre-sets, 3d
textures, designer Photoshop brushes, and other cool little
widgets. Right now you can go steal a couple of nice
wallpapers and download a
working wallpaper desktop
clock- such as the one featured at right. There is also a
nifty tutorial on grunging up a
photo to have fun with.
