Overview of WordPress Widgets and their Management

As the WordPress community understands the dilemma of most bloggers, they have come up with solution that benefits all the WordPress users. One good example is use of WordPress widget. These collections of widgets help users to customize their website without having to go through the coding process. All they need to do is drag and drop, it simply means drag certain widget from the widget area and drop it to the sidebar target content. Let’s understand how to do that: In any default WordPress theme, you need to find out the sidebar that is located on the right portion of the site which has different components. Components such as Pages, Archives, Categories, Blogroll and Meta are made up of widgets.Let’s understand what WordPress widgets are: In general, widgets are plug-ins which has different functions that help users putting content on their website without having to go through the coding process.As each of these widgets is uniquely designed for its function, it's advisable that you should first learn about some of the common widgets usually used for websites before applying widgets into your WordPress blog.Now let’s understand how to manage WordPress Widgets: Once you reached at the admin area, look for the "Appearance" button located at the left portion of your admin page.1.Now click on the "Appearance" Button . It will display the theme you are currently using as well as the different themes you can select from. In current selected theme, notice the different options that are used by your theme. This information will help you in selecting desired theme. Since it is important for your website to function well, ensure that the theme you choose for your blog site has a block enabled for widget. 2.Now click on the "Widget" submenu Button. Under the "Appearance" menu, you will find different submenus. Clicking on the "Widgets" button the widgets interface appears showing the available widgets in the widget area. Here each widgets has its own function, you can choose any of these widgets depending on what your website needs. You just have to drag a certain widget  to the target sidebar and drop it to where you want it to appear.Once widgets are settled on targeted sidebar, they will function accordingly.Now let’s understand how to work with Plug-ins with Widgets: If you want more widgets and you can't seem to find the kind of widget you think would suit your website with good web design in the widget area, all you need to do is to search for new widgets.
