Worst company I've ever dealed with

Hired this company in February for web design and hosting. To date my site is incomplete with no guaranteed completion date. Was quoted 4-6 weeks for a standard site, but mine is custom so will take 6-8 weeks; it has been over 20 weeks!!! This company has delayed with every excuse in the book from not receiving my emails and phone calls, custom web sites take more time and care, a flash programmer even used "Death of a Family member" as an excuse to not return phone calls. Two weeks later we get an email from the programmer stating will have the work done promptly, but then did not do a single part of the programming and again would not respond to calls or emails. At first I had sympathy for the death, but after no phone calls a second time, and no explanation from Heritage account managers, I believe this to be a lie. I've filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Since filing, they have lost their accredidation with BBB.org and have over 400 complaints!!! The quality of work and site created is awful. The site was supposed to be custom, but is a template design. I have had other software programmers look at this site and point out all the issues, such as security, poor design, etc.. Heritage is unprofessional and hires unprofessional people that are incompetent for web design and programming. Overall this is the worst company I've ever dealt with. The CEO obviously does not care about these issues, as I've emailed him directly explaining issues, giving suggestions, even leaving my phone numbers, Mark Strong has not made any efforts to provide any customer satisfaction. He only responded to BBB.org claiming they are "working at resolving issues" BTW, this was 2 months ago.. and still nowhere near completion.

Heritage Web Solutions only took 2 weeks to build me a customized website. I was so amazed at how fast it went. I only paid a minimum and got the best. Great job Heritage.

I used these guys and was very happy. Great customer service, great design and really inexpensive. Heritage Web Solutions put up a site that was not only professional looking - it was actually enjoyable to work with them because everyone was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend having your web site designed by HWS.

Crappy design + poor client relations

I worked as an interactive producer at an award winning agency and decided to help a friend on producing his website for a local body shop. He told me he had hired Heritage and gave me their contact info. It took me 3 attempts to make contact to hear back from them. Instead of offering a comprehensive client review process to be able to make input on the layout and interface, they completely ignored me for a couple of weeks and sent me back a piece of crap website. When I tried to suggest basic aesthetic functionalities to make the site more appealing, they didn't contact me back. When I called the "project manager", she had no clue as to what UI, CMS, Flash vs html meant. This is supposed to a design firm?? It may be cheap, but you'd be better off getting a friend w/basic web skills making your site if it's a small business site.
