This social networking website design was a custom community created for PlayForaCollege.com. This community aims to help high school football prospects get in contact with college recruiters. PlayForaCollege.com is an online community dedicated to college sports recruiting. The site is directed toward high school athletes who are interested in pursuing a collegiate athletic career upon entering college. In order to facilitate this process, the client wanted to create a website that allowed users to create profile pages that they could then send to recruiters at the college(s) of their choice. The challenge that we faced was coming up with social networking software development as well as a custom web site design that would appeal to the target market. Building the web site from scratch, we designed the site to be search-engine friendly and easy to manage for collect students and college recruiters. Next, we constructed a college recruiter management tool to give students the option of emailing their profile to the recruiter at the college of their choice. All profile pages created by users were made to be search engine friendly with the student's name, school name and graduation date automatically placed in the H1 Title tag and assigned a meta title. Each profile has the ability to feature multiple videos as well as pictures. And finally, each student/user has the ability to add multiple sports to their profile page, while having the ability to highlight one particular sport on their profile page.
