GlenbrookLumber.com is a Minnesota lumber yard that had an outdated corporate web design and was in need of a new content management system (CMS) that would make search engine friendly and easy to update. Using the WebBiz Development Process, we were able to produce an attractive, easy to use and SEO friendly website. One of the main issues that we faced with the website redesign was the question of how best to display all of the pertinent member services and products. First, after consulting with the client, we were able to determine that the following items were the main aspects of their business that needed to be featured on the landing page of the website: multiple locations, calls to action, products/services, and establish company credibility. One way to achieve this was by creating a space to display the client's locations within the header of the page. Next, we created easy to navigate dropdown menus so that potential customers would be able to view all of the client's products and services. Finally, we created a news section so that the client would be able to feature upcoming events and industry news. By examining the client's previous corporate web design, which was outdated and lacked information, we were able to create a new and improved corporate web design that highlighted both the client's size as well as professionalism.
